Can we talk about the time Nancy’s dad was in Ouagadougou in SSH? I mean, I don’t even know where Ouagadougou is?! (Say that three times fast!)

It’s in Burkina Faso, Africa!

I don’t know how I feel about this new “categorizing the games” thing they keep doing. I hope they don’t forget that the games are supposed to be mysteries first and foremost

I was going to say the same thing! I think this is the third blog since MED where they’ve mentioned categories, and it’s really puzzling me. I know Little Jackalope’s blog isn’t necessarily indicative of the minds of all those writing or helping to create the games, but it is interesting that she brings this up once again. The Adventure category is redundant, as I’ve said before. Most of the games have “A Mystery Adventure” or “The 3D Adventures of Nancy Drew” written on the cover, so what does this category really mean?

Is there going to be a rotation of categories from now on, to make sure every fan gets at least one game per two year rotation that fits primarily into their favorite category? Will they continue to let us know about which category the next game falls in, so I know for sure to avoid the “adventure category” games since I have apparently disliked the games most representative of that category?

I might post a question about it on her blog post, because I am becoming so curious.

I feel the same :-/ they’re all supposed to be mysteries. Period. And you can have mysteries with a heavy historical setting or international setting, but there’s supposed to be a mystery. I think that’s why MED bummed me out so much. It was a fun game in and of itself, but not when you expect there to be an acutal mystery.

A freshman came up to me the other day and asked if I was the one who played Nancy Drew Games. I was honoured that my love of Nancy Drew Games is something that people remember me by.

Ahem *waves awkwardly* Hi, Clue Crew! I’ve decided it’s about time I made a ND-themed sideblog, so here we are. My main blog is piascleavage (you may or may not have seen some of my Nancy Drew edits before) so I am/will be following you from that one. I’m Marina, by the way.

So yeah. I’m super excited for LIE and for “officially” joining the Clue Crew :)

I think that the Herinteractive game designers pick the location for the next game they make based on where they wanna go on their vacation. Then they blow their whole budget sending people out there to do ‘research’ and that’s why they can only put out two games a year.
